IBS 2 - HEBREWS 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6

He is pleased when we seek Him and believe in Him. When we draw near to Him it pleases Him. He desires a nearness and a communion with us. As Creator and creation, there is a connection that takes place, it’s in the way He made us. With that innate desire to seek Him out. We have our free will, and we can choose other “fillers”, but God is still the only thing that will satisfy. We must have faith and draw near even if there was no reward. Through Christ our salvation is secured and honestly that is reward enough. So often I forget. In my time here in Montana I have found myself walking in works. So quickly I take my eyes off God and the Faith I have in Him. And look at myself. I start to believe in myself, I become prideful and arrogant, even if not expressed outwardly on the inside it’d deadly. I start to believe I’m drawing near when really I’m running further away. I believe that I’m seeking Him, when really all I’m seeking is my own self, to try and make it through the day. I seek out my own futile strength and knowledge. When all He’s asked of me is to have faith, draw near and believe in Him. Knowing that when I seek Him I will find Him. Reward or not. To know and be know by Him is more than I could even ask for. And even when I run, try in my own strength and am prideful, His grace is sufficient. For He is my faithful Father. And I can trust, know, and have faith in the Love He has for me.

Application - Tomorrow I will ask Gabbi to pray with me anytime I start to walk in my own strength and stop seeking Christ. I will also look for verses that talk about drawing near to God and Him drawing near to us and meditate on them.
